Data Collection and Reporting
The incorporation of the former NRCPR into the Get With The Guidelines® quality suite includes a transition to the data collection and reporting platform used by other Get With The Guidelines in-hospital programs. While the data elements collected and the report content remain the same, opportunities for analysis and benchmarking will be greatly expanded by the new platform.
Patient Management Tool
The data collection and reporting platform is the American Heart Association’s Patient Management Tool™* (PMT), powered by Outcome Sciences, Inc. It’s an online, interactive system that helps track your hospital's success at adhering to guidelines-based resuscitation practices. In addition to providing patient-specific guideline information, the PMT enables your hospital to measure its individual compliance with evidence-based standards and to compare and benchmark its performance with other similar hospitals.
The PMT includes:
- Real-time data validation and guidelines compliance
- Composite measure compilation
- Defect-free compilation
- Advanced data filters for measure reporting
Secure Transfer of NRCPR Data
As NRCPR participants transitioned to the Get With The Guidelines-Resuscitation PMT, the American Heart Association worked closely with Outcome Sciences, Inc. to ensure the safe and secure transfer of all existing data to the new platform. From the first submission in 2000 to the most recent entries, all data entered throughout the registry’s history has been preserved and made available to contributing hospitals.
